Hydrological simulation and assessment in a dam–sluice regulated river basin are a complex and challenging issue. In this article, an improved SWAT2000 modelling system was developed that incorporated the Shuffled complex evolution (SCE‐UA) optimization algorithm and the multi‐site and multi‐objective calibration strategy. The implication of multi‐objective is different for different types of outlets, i.e. streamflow for an ordinary outlet, inflow for a sluice, and water storage for a reservoir. Model parameters were redefined to improve model simulations. The surface runoff lag time (SURLAG) was extended as a spatially distributed parameter, and a correction coefficient was introduced to modify the saturated hydraulic conductivity. The modelling system was then applied to the Huai River basin of China under various climatic conditions, including a very dry year (1999), a dry year (1981), an average year (1971), and wet year (1991). In all, 26 dams and 35 sluices were considered, among which about 20 dams/sluices were used for model calibration. The impact assessment primarily focused on the very dry year (1999). The results indicated that the released water from large reservoirs was blocked in the river channels by sluices located downstream. In the very dry year, the dam–sluice operations could result in an increase of the runoff volume during the non‐flood season and a decrease in runoff during the flood season, but the changing magnitude during the non‐flood season was much greater. An important conclusion of this case study is that the sluices in the Sha‐Yin branch located in the north region and the dams in the southern mountainous region above the Wangjiaba Hydrological Station have played the most significant role in regulating the streamflow of the entire river basin. The methods addressed in this article can simulate hydrological regime in the river basins regulated by dams and sluices under different climatic conditions at the whole‐watershed scale. 为保留目标的同时尽可能多地抑制图像背景杂波,在研究形态学滤波、空域平滑滤波、小波域平滑滤波以及它们级联的背景杂波抑制算法的基础上,提出形态学滤波和小波域平滑滤波级联的杂波抑制算法。该算法先对含有微弱目标和白高斯噪声的原始图像进行空域形态学滤波,然后对形态学滤波结果进行小波变换,在小波域中对各小波系数分别平滑滤波,用滤波前的小波系数减去滤波后的小波系数得到差值系数,对差值系数再进行逆小波变换。仿真测试表明,提出的算法在得到的残差图像中目标邻域信杂比(SCNR)平均增益比空域形态学滤波算法和空域平滑滤波算法等均有较明显的提高,为后续的目标检测与跟踪提供了良好的保障。  相似文献

In probabilistic stability analyses of concrete dams founded on rock, the uplift pressure is often a parameter of major importance. In previous literature, it has been suggested that assessing uplift with pore pressure measurements, instead of using empirical assumptions, could improve the calculated dam safety. This paper presents a coherent methodology to investigate whether incorporating pore pressure measurements has any impact on the calculated dam safety, based on Bayesian linear regression of pore pressure data in combination with series-system and the first-order reliability method. The study concludes that the probability of sliding failure is closely related to the probability of an extreme increase in uplift. Hence, measured uplift should only be incorporated while this probability remains sufficiently small, which requires proper programs both for uplift monitoring and for maintenance of drains and grout curtains.  相似文献

Abstract

This study investigates the characteristics of hydrograph components from a watershed in Taiwan. Hydrograph components were modelled by using a model of three serial reservoirs with one parallel reservoir. Mean rainfall was calculated by using the block kriging method. The model parameters for 38 events were calibrated by using the shuffled complex evolution optimization algorithm. The model verification was made using 18 events. Based on the study results, the following findings were obtained: (1) for single-peak events, times to peak of hydrograph components are an increasing power function of the peak time of rainfall; (2) peak discharges of hydrograph components are linearly proportional to that of total runoff, and the ratios of quick and slow runoff are approximately 83% and 17% of total runoff, respectively; and (3) the total volume of quick runoff component is 52% of total runoff and that of slow runoff is 27%.

The Mekong floodplains, which encompasses the region from Kratie Township in Central Cambodia to the Vietnamese East Sea, is a region of globally renown agricultural productivity and biodiversity. The construction of 135 dams across the Mekong basin and the development of delta‐based flood prevention systems have caused public concern given possible threats on the stability of agricultural and ecological systems in the floodplains. Mekong dams store water upstream and regulate flow seasonality, while in situ flood prevention systems re‐distribute water retention capacity in the floodplains. The main aim of this paper is to evaluate possible impacts of the recent development of both hydropower dams and flood prevention systems on hydrological regimes in the Mekong floodplains. An analysis of measured daily and hourly water level data for key stations in the Mekong floodplains from Kratie to the river mouth in Vietnam was conducted. Hydropower dam information was obtained from the hydropower database managed by the Mekong River Commission, and the MODIS satellite imagery was used to detect changes in flooding extent related to the operation of flood prevention systems in the Vietnam Mekong Delta. Results indicate that the upper part of the floodplains, the Cambodian floodplains, may buffer upstream dam impacts to the Vietnam Mekong Delta. Flood prevention up to date has had the greatest effect on the natural hydrological regime of the Mekong floodplains, evidenced by a significant increase of water level rise and fall rates in the upper delta and causing water levels in the middle delta to increase. The development of flood prevention systems has also effected spatial distribution of flooding as indicated via a time series analysis of satellite imagery. While this development leads to increase localized agricultural productivity, our historical data analysis indicates that development of one region detrimentally affects other regions within the delta, which could increase the risk of future conflicts among regions, economic sectors and the ecological value of these important floodplains. Six small constructed ponds (surface area 500–7500 m2, catchment area 28–158 ha) in rural and native forest catchments in the Auckland region had poorer water quality than the streams they replaced. Temperature (24°C) and dissolved oxygen (DO) (4 mg/litre) criteria were exceeded for up to 46% and 84% of days, respectively, during a critical 40‐day summer period. The poor conditions found in ponds, even within undeveloped native forest catchments, indicated that the physical characteristics of ponds (e.g., lack of shade, organic sediments) affected water quality independently of other factors (e.g., land use, riparian protection). The frequency and severity of the exceedences were related to pond size, retention time, and catchment land use; the most degraded conditions were found in rural ponds with largest surface areas and longest retention times. Ponds affected water quality and macroinvertebrate communities downstream. Exceedences of temperature and DO criteria occurred more frequently and were more severe downstream than upstream of ponds. Ponds in rural catchments increased mean daily stream temperatures 3.1–6.6°C during the critical summer period, and temperature differences were three times higher than those in bush catchments (0.8–2.0°C). Elevated temperatures were observed for hundreds of metres downstream owing to the slow rate of cooling (1°C/ 100 m), expanding the extent of adverse effects well beyond the “footprint” of the pond. Macroinvertebrate community composition (sample area 1–3 m2) and values of four commonly used metrics appeared to be significantly affected by ponds in rural and native forest catchments. These finding have important management implications that should lead to modifications (e.g., breaching dams) of the estimated 4500 existing ponds in the Auckland region, where possible, and restrictions on proposals for new “on‐line” ponds.  相似文献

We have investigated the diurnal variations of the pCO2 and related environmental factors in the cascade reservoirs with different trophic levels along Wujiang River. In surface water the pCO2 was 357±11 μatm in Hong-jiadu Reservoir, 338±48 μatm in Dongfeng Reservoir, 682±303 μatm in Wujiangdu Reservoir, and 1677±429 μatm in Liuguang, respectively. The results indicated that these cascade reservoirs had much lower pCO2 values in surface water than river did, and hypereutrophic reservoir showed larger diurnal variations of pCO2 than meso-eutrophic reservoir. In water column, pCO2 tended to increase with the depth. Phytoplankton and the environmental factors such as temperature and pH had different influences on pCO2 diurnal variations due to different trophic levels, and the effect of phytoplankton on pCO2 variation increased with the increase of trophic level in these reservoirs.  相似文献

泥石流拦砂坝底的扬压力会抵消坝体的部分有效荷重,影响其抗倾覆稳定性。为了研究拦砂坝底扬压力的分布规律及其影响因素,设计制作了拦砂坝模型和扬压力采集系统,开展了不同沟床坡度和不同坝前堆积条件下的扬压力模拟试验。试验结果表明,扬压力自坝踵至坝趾不断减小,且与渗流距离呈线性关系,当坝前有堆积物时相关系数绝对值达到0.98以上;沟床坡度明显影响坝底扬压力的分布。随着沟床坡度的增加,扬压力不断减小,且对坝踵处扬压力的影响较坝趾处更大;坝底和坝前堆积物的渗透性对扬压力的影响也很显著,它们的渗透性越差,扬压力就越小;坝前堆积物的渗透性还显著影响扬压力的分布规律,渗透性越差,其分布规律性就越强。研究成果为深入研究泥石流拦砂坝底扬压力的作用过程和作用机制奠定了基础。  相似文献

提出了双场点地震危险性分析方法,用以计算在相同地震构造环境中,相同地震作用下的相邻两个工程场点同时超越其给定地震动参数的概率.该方法是确定系统的危险段落、场点遭受的附加地震危险的有效工具.基于汶川MS8.0地震后大渡河干流及邻近地区的地震环境,以大渡河干流梯级水电站系统为例,确定了大渡河干流梯级水电站各个河段的地震危险性.其中危险性最高的3个河段是:龚嘴—铜街子河段、沙坪—龚嘴河段和大岗山—龙头石河段.  相似文献

Under seismic loads the deformability of an earth dam may induce several effects, including ground-motion amplification and asynchronism between different points of the dam embankment. The paper analyses the asynchronous effects occurring in two existing earth dams, representing well-documented case histories: the El Infiernillo Dam (Mexico) and the Camastra Dam (Italy). Asynchronous effects are analysed by theoretical predictions of the dam seismic response by adopting an advanced dynamic approach, which takes into account the main features that dam soils exhibit under cyclic loading conditions. For different potentially unstable masses within the dam embankment, equivalent accelerations were computed as the ratio between the resultant of the inertial forces and the weight of the volume V associated to the unstable mass. With the exception of very cortical sliding surfaces – not significant for dam stability – in most of the analysed cases the equivalent seismic coefficients do not exceed the peak acceleration at the dam base.  相似文献
